LMC Templates: Patient update on Collective Action

Gateshead & South Tyneside LMC have developed a template for practices to use to update patients on collective action.


Please see attached template which can be used on practice notice boards and bulletins.



Reception staff may wish to use the shorter statement below when communicating with patients:


‘As you may be aware due to extreme pressure on GP services, practices are currently taking action to protect our patients and staff from harm now and in the future. We have reached our safe limits of working for today….’.           


Practices may wish to suggest to the patient whatever is appropriate for their practice ( phone later, contact 111) – Please feel free to adjust this to fit your population.
