Job summary


We are looking for a motivated team player to join 5 Partners and Salaried Gp's at our innovative training practice in the seaside town of South Shields, South Tyneside for 4-6 sessions.


Main duties of the job

 

The postholder will be expected to undertake the full range of duties and responsibilities normally associated with a General Practitioner working in primary care

We are a friendly and welcoming family practice, with a strong team ethos and emphasis on mentoring, personal development and learning together.

We have an appetite for change and improve, have adapted to using "E Consults software alongside Emis to deliver clinical care via online consults, telephone and Face to face appointments. Clinical duties will also include allocated on-call sessions, home visits, the role also includes completing associated paperwork and correspondence in a timely and effective manner.

 

Job Description

 

The post holder will make professional judgement and autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems. The post holder will maintain, clear, accurate clinical records with agreed standards, issue computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions and prescribe within the practice formulary.


Overview of your organisation


We are a team of doctors, Nurse Practitioners, nurses, pharmacists and administrators providing care to 20,000 patients. We occupy a large purpose built modern health centre in the heart of the practice community along the route of the Great North Run.

Several Doctors have Specialist Interest Roles (minor Surgery, Cryotherapy ). We have 2 training Doctors for GPR'S and teach Medical Students.

We are a sociable team and have several annual events.
