General Practice Support Service
Updated: May 3
We are pleased to announce that the North East & North Cumbria Regional LMC has secured the funding to continue the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) currently available to General Practitioners and Practice Managers. In addition, we have secured additional funding allowing us to extend the service to cover all admin and nursing staff employed within general practice across Gateshead and South Tyneside.
Recognising the additional pressures that all colleagues within general practice are currently working under, securing this funding is particularly welcomed by the LMCs.
The EAP is a confidential counselling and information service, which is available 7 days a week all year round, to assist you with personal or work-related problems that may be affecting your health, wellbeing or work-life balance. The EAP is provided by the Validium Group.
This service is now operational; you can call the confidential EAP on the Freephone number 0800 970 9040. Please note when contacting Validium, your organisation is the North East & North Cumbria Regional LMC.
The following services are available:
Counselling Support a safe place to discuss your personal or work-related concerns. You can do this over the telephone, face to face or online.
Manager Support advice and support for managers who are assisting their teams through any difficulties.
vClub Online & ‘My vClub’ App access to help sheets, podcasts and specialist resources at your fingertips
vClub - You will need to login with the generic username: NEC_RLMC and password: EAPvClub. You will then be prompted to set up your own username and password.
The EAP is confidential to use and is entirely secure. The LMC will only be advised of the number of people who have contacted the service.
