General Practitioner/Practice Manager Support Service

Updated: Oct 4

The North East & Cumbria Regional LMC, in conjunction with your LMC, have commissioned an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). It is available to ALL General Practitioners and Practice Managers across Gateshead and South Tyneside.

The EAP is a confidential counselling and information service, which is available 7 days a week all year round, to assist you with personal or work-related problems that may be affecting your health, wellbeing or work-life balance. The EAP is provided by the Validium Group, who support over 350 organisations in the UK.

This service is now operational; you can call the confidential EAP on the Freephone number 0800 970 9040. The following services are available:

-  Stress and emotional counselling

-  Short term face to face counselling

-  Manager Support when assisting staff

The service can also be accessed online by visiting www.validium.com.

vClub gives you access to a wealth of information and links on issues that may be affecting you.  You will need to login with the generic username: NEC_RLMC and password: EAPvClub.   You will then be prompted to set up your own username and password.

The EAP is confidential to use and is entirely secure.  The LMC will only be advised of the number of people who have contacted the service.
