Longrigg Medical Centre are recruiting now

with a view to start from April 2022 (sooner where possible)

We are hoping to appoint 1-2 salaried GPs

(with the option to consider future partnership).


We are aiming to cover approximately 9 sessions in total and are keen to discuss how we can work flexibly around other commitments.


BMA standard agreement would apply, including timetabled weekly Personal Learning time, and time off for appraisals.


  • 5 Partners and 1 Salaried GP

  • 1 Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs

  • GMS Practice with 11,000 patients

  • EMIS Web supported by AccuRx and Mjog

  • High QOF achieving

  • CQC Rating – Good

  • Green Impact Bronze Award 2019

  • Option of HEE Primary Care Fellowships for newly qualified GPs

  • We are a forward-thinking practice who have embraced the changes brought about during the past 18 months.

  • We pride ourselves on being supportive and working together as a team, with a strong emphasis on the wellbeing of all our staff.

  • We have weekly practice meetings with representatives from our management, nursing, admin and reception teams.

  • We have a shared doctors office which allows us to do clinical work, whilst also having regular sociable catch ups with colleagues.

  • We are passionate about both GP Training and Undergraduate Medical Student Teaching.

  • We have strong links within our East Gateshead PCN and work closely with our community colleagues including the Community Link Workers.
