Glenpark Medical Centre: GP Vacancy

Glenpark Medical Centre is a GP Practice providing primary care services to the people of Dunston and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a flexible, dedicated and enthusiastic GP to join our well established and friendly practice team for five or six sessions per week. It is important to us to find the right person and someone who shares our ethos and approach.

We plan, deliver and commission a wide range of health care and treatment to meet the health needs of local people and we are looking to recruit people who can help us deliver a first class health service to our patients.

The successful applicant will join our current team of six GP partners, and two salaried GPs, where mutual support and work/life balance are valued. We have a committed practice team, including prescribing nurse practitioner, 3 multi-skilled practice nurses, and two HCAs. Our extended team also includes a frailty nurse, care navigator and a social prescribing link worker along with access to a pharmacist each day.

We are a successful, high achieving GMS practice, with a growing list size, currently around 9350 and moved into new purpose built premises in February 2019. We have a document management system in place which includes pharmacists to minimise administrative workload for GPs. Our first priority is to provide high quality patient centred care, while personal development is encouraged, and there are opportunities to be involved in CCG work.

Glenpark is situated very near to both Central Newcastle and the Metrocentre. Beautiful Northumberland and the local coastal area are a short drive away and there are good transport links to the A1 and Newcastle Airport.

Applications from experienced or newly qualified GPs welcomed.

Informal visits and enquires welcome. (Please contact our Practice Manager Susan Sohi on 0191 4200535 or email susan.sohi@nhs.net )

Starting date by mutual agreement.

As this post involves contact with a vulnerable client group it has been designated as requiring an ENHANCED disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
